  i haven't posted in a long time.

  most trying to recover and still get my head straight, this religion when you find it's not the 'truth' is hard to move on sometimes.

  my mom urgently needed to speak to me about a magazine that just came out.

  does anyone know the requirements that should be met for someone to have this privilege?

  Just stop going in FS and reporting like I did and then BAM! No "privileges" at all within 3 months!! ....

  Quite how my ability at operating the sound console is affected by my FS hours is beyond me, ...oh that's right it's called CONTROL.

  We cant have those nasty ambitious Sisters READING FFS, ...That would equate to TEACHING when reading the Spirit Inspired WT or other study publications!! How about the Bible reading then? Surely that would be OK as it is Gods word? No it would still be teaching!!

  I never could understand why sisters couldnt do the bible reading on their own from the podium at a minimum....

  Conscious Class: Do you still go in field service?

  elders & ms have been told to study the following material before the school.. elders.......... organised to do gods will (od) chapter 7. shepherd the flock of god (ks10) chapters 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11. benefit from theocratic education pages 47-51. ministerial servants........ organised to do gods will (od) pages 78-83 & 93-102 & chapter 7. benefit from theocratic education (be) pages 47-51. .

  Yes but it makes you feel SPECIAL and INTELLIGENT if you've pre-studied and know the answers while sitting in the big meeting. Knowing = Smug Face = Warm Glow = Inner Sanctimoniousness = PIA Elder Mode 11 for anyone else.

  All I want to know is are they going be hounding me now im inactive in the FS and only attend about 50% of meetings and dont go to assembles?...

  i sent a .pdf to a few friends and one of them betrayed me and forward it to a elder i know, along with the emails of the recipients.

  i cant believe i was so naive to think that i can trust someone..stupid.

  i have not talked to the "benedict arnold" yet, but hopefully soon.

  "That Letter" about sisters not allowed to spiral-bind the new elders manual

  you know, the one from the usa branch/brooklyn.. well i ventured a question to a relative who is an elder here in the uk to see if a similar letter had been sent to elders here.

  he knows i was an elder and he lets me joke with him to a certain level about how controlling the society is lately.. he confirmed that one has been received and he laughed because it says you can use a d-ring binder (which i guess is the equal uk term for the us "spiral bound" as long as you don't let worldly people do it and that you have to watch the brother do it.).

  i asked whether sisters were allowed to do it and he said even the society wouldn't go that far and smiled.. sooooooo .... i am wondering if this uk letter has had the "sister" stuff pulled because it is such an embarrassment?.

  Which part of that is hard to understand?

  JC meeting - Someone Explain Kingdom established on Pentecost

  at one point in the jc recording, the "apostate" (i think his name is rick) states that the kingdom was established on pentecost, based on mark 9 where jesus says "i tell you some standing here will not taste death until they see the kingdom coming.".

  the elders say this was the transfiguration.

  rick states jesus didn't say it would be a vision; the transfiguration was a vision.. can someone please elaborate on this idea with scriptures?.

  The verses immediately following that line in the 3 accounts give the context clue... They (the apostles) refer it to the transfiguration themselves. Words like "Accordingly", "in actual fact, ... after these words" are used to make the link.

  If I emailed this to a depressed, fed up, limping but still brainwashed JW mate in MY OWN congregation....whose Dad happens to be the WT conductor, ... ummmm,.... what could you foresee happening when daddykins finds out?

  Im tempted, but dont want to be in the backroom in a weeks time.

  My relatives will be getting it regardless as they arent in my cong...

  i have the new manual and other two letters (intro and spiral binding) but would like the one about destroying the old book as well, ...mainly as it helps highlight the level of information control.

  i've looked back several weeks of pages here and cant see it.. im going to be giving this little lot to my jw family members as and when the opportunity presents itself.. (which may well be today as some are coming over lol, but will choose my timing or not bother if it seems a likely fail.).
